Let's look at a scenario about how computer-generated tickets might be numbered.

Let's say that the three digit number preceding the ticket numbers represents the number of films shown in that theater, either for the year or for another, perhaps longer, time period.

First film would be 001. Second film would be 002, and so on. If the Passion was the 666th film, a ticket number might be something like 666-123. Another ticket for the same showing would be 666-124.

As someone who knows computers VERY well, this is a likely scenario.

As someone who is not looking for conspirators in every moving theater computer, I think his is just a silly coincidence.

MineralMan is correct in his analysis. I actually WRITE computerized ticketing systems for a living. I know a LOT about computers, and WAY TOO MUCH about ticketing systems in particular.

Due to the large sums of money involved with ticket revenue reporting, and the number of entities with "fingers in the pie", most recordkeeping is automatically stamped and recorded by the computer, specifically to AVOID human tampering. Event (attraction) Sequence and ticket serial numbers are auto-generated principly to make counterfeiting tickets and financial shinanigans difficult.

This sort of mystically number crap really makes folks look like idiots.
