I know that given a typical IT support analyst w/ typical access privileges, changing a sequence number is a trivial task. That's all. And lots worse has been done out in the open.

But, boy, this thread is getting interesting. Its astonishing to me that 'proof' of evil is required before its seen as something to acknowledge. The act of thinking its possible, and god-forbid, probable! .... hmmmm. I think I'm getting feedback that this pathway is to be discouraged.

Now, why would that be? Who gains by promoting the reality that it was 'chance'?

I would argue that it wasn't "chance," but instead chance. All I have to gain is noting the truth.

I see a conspiracy developing where there is none. Here's the deal, when you claim some level of experetise and understanding, then state nothing but a hunch, Freepers will grill you.

With a three digit prefix, the chance of it coming out "666" is the same as 123, 444, or 736---1 in a 1000. That doesn't mean there is nothing to this. It just means that discounting chance is not so easy.

Oh Evil exists, and it's not usually hard to mistake if you are honest: Lives tend to get destroyed, bodies, blood, misery and mayhem happen, people get lied to, planes get thrown into buildings, somebody sells out a buddy to the occupying authority for money.....

Fortunately, Evil is hardly ever smart and usually not subtle.

Evil is in the world, but I am not convinced that a series of three dgits printed on a ticket are evidence.
