STATEMENT BY THE PRESS SECRETARY
On Wednesday, March 31, 2004 the President signed into law:
S. 2231, which extends certain welfare programs that expire on March 31, 2004.
S. 2241, which extends certain child nutrition programs through June 30, 2004.

Rick Santorum on the dims soft money coordination on Fox & Friends: "...hypocrisy of the highest order..."
He also said Kerry should get two Democrats to vote for the Presidents energy bill if he wants to help with gas prices.

It was short and sweet, in regard to the dims announcement of no more nominees, he said this was the earliest for something like that and how it is normal near the end of a term, but not now. That is just another indication of how partisan the atmosphere is in Washington.
