It's great to see them publicly shed their skin, but I'm hurt for Mel Gibson. Not that he needs me to be, he's a grown man he knew what he was getting into. But it wreaks havoc with my sense of fair play to see him villified in this manner, and I will not forget it.
Put yourself in his shoes, and think for just a moment about the tremendous stress he's undergone at the hands of these villifiers? This began a year ago. Imagine being only able to witness it? When I do, the not-so-pretty Italian comes out in me.

Not only the stress he's going through now, but imagine making that movie. Everybody who has seen the movie (except liberal jackasses)is awestruck.
That's ok. I think Mel is going to do just fine. In fact, because of the success of this film, he will be able to do whatever projects interest him, commercial value or not.

Mel has broad shoulders and a long memory. I wouldn't worry about him. He's doing just fine, and six months from now, Hollywood will be lining up outside his door with movie scripts.
