Perhaps if you had not compressed your response, you would have explained why you thought what she wrote was pretentious, rather than repeating one quote from her review and calling her so. Rightly or wrongly, she gets paid to give her reviews in one of the most highly circulated newspapers in the country. On further review of my own, I agree that I was wrong to include your post among the ones that were truly hateful.

Thank you. What I object most about her comments, and why I find her so pretentious, is that she asserts that the mob scenes are anti-Semetic (while ignoring the many sympathetic protrayals of Jews in the film), while refering to the writings of early 20th Century Russian critics to somehow back her up. It seems to me she thinks she's being clever by refering to them without citing even one source in this piece or her previous one. I find her ostentatious and lazy.
