Australian Muslim leader: 9-11 'God's work'

The powerful leader of Australia's 300,000 Muslims, Sheik Al Hilaly, has praised the September 11 terror attacks as ''God's work.''

A sermon he delivered during a Middle East lecture tour is littered with references to Arab martyrs and Americans being punished by God, according to the Sydney Sun-Herald.

The controversial Mufti spoke of an ''Islamic revolution'', and told his audience not to be surprised if one day a muezzin called out ''Allah is Great'' from the ''top of the White House.''

''September 11 is God's work against oppressors,'' he said according to a translation obtained by the Sun-Herald. ''Some of the things that happen in the world cannot be explained; a civilian airplane whose secrets cannot be explained, if we ask its pilot who reached his objective without error: 'Who led your steps?'

''Or if we ask the giant that fell: 'Who humiliated you?' Or if we ask the president: 'Who made you cry?' God is the answer.''

Al Hilaly also appears to have lent support to Arab suicide bombers during the sermon, declaring a ''war on infidels'' around the globe, and bemoaning the lack of "real men" in the Arab world while praising the ''true boy'' who went to war to become a martyr.

Al Hilaly has denied calling for a jihad against Israel.

His spokesman told the Sun-Herald, the comments about September 11 referred to how ''evil can reach everywhere and everything.'' The spokesman said the statement about September 11 being God's work against oppressors meant ''people only do these things when they feel oppressed.''

I would agree with Shiel All-Hillary in that the US smiting Afganistan and Iraq is probably "God's Work". And, Lybia's leader has seen the light and has heeded the call. Yep, God is working, He just doesn't seem to be on All-Hillary's team.

This is why we are at war - largely with the members of the religion of peace and love. What amazes me is that the so-called 'moderate' Muslims hear and see all of this radicalism in the name of their religion and ignore it; thereby making their claims of a religion of peace and love disingenuous.

it is clear that Islam is the religion of hate, murder, oppression, slavery and Satan. The Koran states, in essence, that Islam cannot co-exist with any other religion. Those living in Islamic countries who refuse to convert to Islam risk death under the Sharia. Tell me, what God is so insecure that He cannot share faith with other Gods and demands that those who do not follow Him must be killed?? Doesn't sound like any God I want to follow; and I choose not to.
