I need to see numbers, but I know what Mia says is true - to some degree. Like the increasing defection of the minority vote, particularly blacks, a slow trickle is bleeding from the RAT bloc. What the numbers are and what will it mean in the future - who knows. One thing is certain, the RAT lock on minorities and their moral leadership is gone.

Imagine the party that supported slavery, crafted Jim Crow laws and voted more heavily as a percentage (in spite of being the majority party) against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 being declared as the party of love, tolerance and opportunity for disenfranchised minorities. A total erasure of their past (well, Sheets Byrd is under cover these days) in less than 40 years. In fact, the zenith of their hypocritical act was at the very time they were voting against the CRA in '64.

That should tell the observant something about the power of media to shape public perceptions and, thus, opinion.

Thinking about it a little more...

I'm not so sure that the RAT's ever did have a moral lock on the minority votes. The key to their entrance to power was the desperation of the depression. As the alternative party (the ones not on watch in 1929), FDR spoke glowingly of future promises of prosperity. What he did give, right out of the gate, was the right to drink legally again, so who really noticed if he got things right.

Of course, most of his federal plans to restart the economy were little more than the make-do welfare of the time. The spending for lend-lease and the preparations for the war were the real engines that increased the GDP until the entry into the war in late 1941.

World domination and the massive industrial installations at the end the war propelled us onward economically. Ups and downs of recession have followed WWII, Korea and Vietnam and ever increasing budgets for social spending have evened out the roller coaster since.

It was with the advent of the Great Society, that the RAT's lost all restraint in the domestic spending side. With the fawning collusion of an allied, socialist press, the license of lax social standards and an ever-increasing domestic give away program, they've managed to keep their grip on power for the whole ride - until now. The lowest common denominator has undeniable appeal.

Of course, the final result is that the RAT party today is totally bankrupt morally as the RAT king and queen demonstrate. The good will of principled, and INFORMED, people left them long ago. The remainder of their constituents are the desperate dependants, the graft grifters and the morally diseased that seek no cure. Oh yeah, I forgot the drug-addled, but that is kind of redundant.

In sum, hillary's comments shouldn't really raise any surprise or ire. After all, isn't the pirate queen is expected to address her crew of cut-throats in the coarse vernacular they understand?

I seem to recall that the number is 30%-- 30% of younger Jews are voting Republican.

The moral leadership is gone, but so is a semblance of reality, of rationality. The delusions of the clintons have become the reality of the dems. That is why the dems now appear, for all intents and purposes, quite insane.
