Let us see post 9/11 and this election. However, I suspect few Jews will leave the Democrat socialist camp.

Younger, informed Jews--secular as well as religious--do get it. Many are voting Republican.

But you are right. Too many older Jews--the older New York émigré is the quintessential example--have an irrational (ultimately self-defeating) fear of the right. The left will lose them to attrition eventually, but the question is the rate. We no longer have the luxury of time….

I have an older relative who was actually in the WTC in 1993, at the time of the first attack by al Qaeda. Yet he continues to support the feckless, corrupt, self-serving clintons, who did nothing for 8 years other than amass their power, tweak their legacy and line their pockets as they aided and abetted the terrorists.. No amount of evidence and rational argument will move this person even to rethink his position.

People like this relative of mine made the Holocaust possible.
