I identified with a lot of characters in the movie. Simon, Peter, Pilate, Herod, John, Judas. Thank God He died for me.

And those Catholics who know about such gutless behavior but who do not try to do anything about fixing it are likewise denying Christ out of personal comfort - "I want everyone (Father/friends/parishioners) to like me"
