I think I saw that some middle level guy was caught this week in Pakistan who had recently been traveling with Al Zawahiri. That's probably where the initial confusion came from, I bet.

Looks like the Iranians and Dems are on the same page. Seriously, what does it say when one of the rougist of rouge countries spreads propaganda in order to help the Dems. Left wing whining and French support of US efforts, notwithstanding, it tells me Bush foriegn policy is working very well, and all freedom and peace loving Americans need to think twice about either not voting or voting for the Dem nominee. The sad thing is, I'll be some lefties will actually quote the Iranian news service as if they were legitimate.
