Oh hey, this article is bringing up a question. I haven't seen the movie yet and want to ask those who have.

Satan is portrayed in the movie as a someone who looks "normal" yet has that bit of an unnerving twist with a bug crawling in his nostril. While he's managed to make the world dismiss him because of cartoonish caricatures or lack of empirical evidence, he is quite obvious to me in his mind-games, lies, and temptations, not to mention the disruptions and chaos he causes. How well is this portrayed in the Passion? And how well do you think people will pick up on that and see it for what it is?

Satan was very well portrayed for the evil being that he is.I acutally think that the word sinister comes to mind. he was constantly lurking in the shadows. There was one scene in Gesthemene when he appeared as a serpent.Jesus's heel came smashing down on the serpent's head. That was very dramatic and impactful to me.God will use this film in a great way.

Um, I haven't seen the movie, but I thought Satan was manifested as woman in the film. Is this a differnt form you're referring to?

Satan must be a woman in real life, but as Satan is portrayed with no hair...no eyebrows, etc. The voice is neither male or female.

An androgynous being.

Very well portrayed, especially when he's attempting to convince Jesus that nobody can handle the burden he has to bear in the garden.

I think it is pretty dang good. Satan can make himself into an "angel of light" according to the Bible. He doesn't run around with a red cape.

I am so glad you asked this. SATAN in the movie was what you will NOT forget.

I went to the movie opening day, first showing @ 12:PM. Came out exhausted, drained but fully CONVICTED. Went to the grocery store a few hours after that a found MONEY $$ on the floor. eeeekkk I could really use it right NOW @ this time. Looked around to see if anyone was near that could have dropped it an there was NO ONE, which is unusual for a store that size and the time was 5:15pm (busy time. I picked it up and really thought about keeping it, just easily slipping it into my purse. But I am not kidding guess what came into my mind?????? The Satan I saw in the movie, his face came into my mind and that was it. I just thought about Jesus in the Garden when the devil came upon him and was tempting him. And of him slithering through the crowd, etc.... THAT was it!! Wasn't going to let him win so I turned it into the office and they took my name and # and will call me in 30 days if not claimed.

This was not easy for me. The temptation was so overwhelming, especially since no one saw me pick it up. But "HE" is everywhere and always there. GOD was very good for testing me at this time on that day. He is an awesome GOD. It was a powerful movie that will stay with you, even in the grocery store.
