The media loved Perot and Buchanan and gave them plenty of airtime so that they could take votes away from Bush 41 and Bob Dole. In fact my Republican brother voted for Perot, instead of Bush 41. He's always regretted it.
In the 2000 election, our Republican friend voted for Buchanan, even though Bush needed every vote he could get here in Penna. He told me he had to vote "his heart." Gore won our state.
I heard Neal Bortz say on the radio that he voted Libertarian previously, but he's not going to do that again after 9/11.
Republicans have been voting for third party candidates because the Republican candidate wasn't good enough for them. I was pragmatic and always supported the Republican candidate. I'm glad that Ralph Nader will take votes away from John Kerry. I hope the media will give Ralph Nader lots of media time.
