Would you give me the names of "history" books that record this?
I have read about some of these events. Not quite the way you have described.
Not that I do not believe you. Would like to research the history.
I always considered the French Revolution to be the foundation for what has followed the past almost 200 years.

Would you give me the names of "history" books that record this? I got this off the Internet last year and saved it on my hard drive. It's a chapter from a book on the "Origins of Communism." The information I posted can be found at:

It's a long selection so search for Schiff or Trotsky or something to take you to the right place.

The French revolution of 1848 deserves a very close look also in this regard.
"Les Miserables" (The Wretched) by that old whiner Victor Hugo was a pro-commune tract. No surprise that Napoleon III chased him out of France for being a leftist pain in the behind.
Salut!
