That's like saying "The Pope during the boyrape crisis was JP2." Literally true, but irrelevant. Just as the boyrape crisis woudna happened but for 50 years of bad behavior leading up to it, so the Reformation was brought about by 50 years or more of Papal madness (or more, if you want to bring the Great Schism into it....)
