Forest County Man Arrested for Assault of Newborn
A 20-year-old man is custody accused of assaulting a 17-day-old boy in Forest County. The infant was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander Sunday. "A preliminary examination indicated the infant may have been a victim of physical abuse and sexual assault," Chief Deputy Ken Van Cleve said. The infant was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield and remains hospitalized. The man, who is described as a family member, was arrested Tuesday following an investigation. He's being held on $20,000 cash bail. Van Cleve expects the man will be charged with physical abuse of a child by a person responsible for the child's welfare. The crime carries up to 20 years in prison. |

No body should be allowed to assault a newborn... without a medical license.

I cannot understand serial killers, serial rapists...but to understand the sexual assault of a newborn baby is so far out of my capacity to understand,I just must accept it happens and leave it to the experts. The perv must be forever removed from society.EVIL

I agree with you completely, but why candy-coat it like this: Van Cleve expects the man will be charged with physical abuse of a child by a person responsible for the child's welfare. The crime carries up to 20 years in prison. How about attempted murder. Call it what it is.

If forensic science can prove this (unfortunately) unnamed 20-year-old abused that baby in the aforementioned way, the son of a bitch needs to be killed.

We live in a society that does not protect the unborn and this kind of sin always affects a society by getting worse and worse. We are so immune to the killing of about 4000 unborns a day that to abuse a few is nothing to some peole. In the Old Testament all of the nations that sacrificed their young were destroyed. Scary.

If it's proven, we don't need to waste taxpayer money on him. Just point me his way and come get me in half an hour.

Isn't there a "certain country" in the Southern Hemisphere in which dozens of acts like this are committed daily? I'd be a mite curious where this loser came from.
