One of my infrequent vanity posts. All comments are welcome.
Oddly enough, Mr. Brinker's financial advice is almost always right on target!

What network was this crap on? Who advertised on it?

I love Bob Brinker. I have a routine for Saturdays. I work my butt off until 3:45pm (15 minutes before he goes on the air) at which point I put a beer in the freezer to super chill them. When Bob comes on, with his monotone droll, I sit and relax, nursing me brew. The man is hypnotic. After about 20 mintues I am out cold until 6pm, when the wife sends the kids upstairs to wake me for dinner. It's my favorite part of the weekend. Thanks, Bob!

You be good.
I am bookmarking this thread in my Yahoo bookmarks for future reference.

Thanks for that! I ehard him when he said this and I was shocked to hear what he said. Brinker has always seemed so level-headed. It turns out that's not the case.

Good one Al. I will keep this succinct report on 2000 Election for future discussions with my Dumbo-demos..
Thanks, EV

In New York he's on WABC. You won't hear him every Saturday and Sunday because that station carries live broadcasts for some sports teams.

Wow. I certainly think you covered all the bases in that letter. Bravo.

Why was Bob talking about the 2000 election in 2004?

In Chicago he's on WLS.
Same station that carries Rush and Hannity.

Well said. You do good work.
Brinker is certainly not on our side.

looks like abc/DISNEY stations...makes sense.

The topic of the 2000 election was raised on Saturday because he was discussing the potential implications of Ralph Nader's run in this year's presidential election (Nader was due to announce his intentions the following day).
Brinker correctly pointed out that Nader's entry into the race could help decide the race, and he used Nader's 2000 vote totals in a number of states to illustrate his point.

Fine effort and letter. I suspect it will not be read on the air, though.

That's a great letter. In defense of Bob Brinker, though, he also said during that same broadcast that Nader entering the race was a good thing (for protecting the tax cuts)since it would detract votes from Kerry and thus help Bush. Since I only hear snippets of the show I cannot comment specifically on the subject of your letter
