The NRA has repeated their stance that a clean Bill should be passed. They are now spending important time trying to refute the lies that they are doing anything other than that. It's so bad, the Citizen's Committee for The Right To Keep and Bear Arms had to write an article defending the NRA's position. If you paid more attention you would know the NRA's position has been repeated over and over. Here it is again.

Why don't you spend more time making phone calls?

"They are now spending important time trying to refute the lies that they are doing anything other than that. "

Do they know what their director, Senator Craig, is doing to outlaw possession of armor piercing ammunition (his office could not define armor piercing).

This amendment, said Craig, is needed "to strengthen current armor piercing ammunition law." NRA's point-man in the U.S. Senate says that this is "what the law enforcement community needs."

"We don't want to wipe out the hunting and sporting ammunition," said Craig. The "sporting purpose" test was used before -- as justification for firearm rights infringements via the 1938 Nazi Weapons Law and later copied nearly verbatim in the U.S. Gun Control Act of 1968.

"Let's send a message that armor piercing ammunition is flat off limits," said Sen. Craig.

The NRA Director went on to support strong enforcement of his proposed ammunition ban, using phrases like "prison for life."

What will it take for you, a personal call from Craig himself that he wants to ban armor piercing ammunition from American civilians?

As well as being a Republican Senator, Craig is an NRA Director (of course, you know that) -- in that capacity I assume he speaks for the NRA ??

If so, what he is saying is flat out wrong and NRA HQ and NRA ILA have not contradicted his position nor activities with regard to S. 1805.
