[history]
Bill O'Reilly Inc. touched down in Los Angeles on Feb. 15 for a whirlwind week that would have fatigued most hard-driving CEOs. The acerbic 53-year-old Fox News Channel (FOX ) commentator chaired a benefit for Israel that raised $40 million, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and ate dinner at Hollywood hot spot the Ivy with his boss, Rupert Murdoch, chairman of Fox News parent News Corp., (NWS ) and Murdoch's wife, Wendi -- all the while doing his radio and TV show every day.

I would consider O'Reilly a conservative commentator. Some of his views are left of the right. However, he does have more views right than left.

O'Reily is "mainstream".He's controversial because he doesn't hesitate to take a stand. He does scrupulous research, and is always well prepared when interviewing.
I read on FR from time to time that O'Reilly is "declining" or that he's "losing market share."
This article ought to put that nonsense to rest.

MJY
Not only is he a populist, but he needs an epistemological enema but he may need to perform a cranal-rectalotomy to do it.
He had Breck Boy Edwards on and was lambasting him about class warfare and the taxes he pays. He then stated he should pay his fare share and was happy paying 50%. If he knew the Old Testament and Jack Kemp better it should be no More than 20%.
Ditto on Fire-Arms Rights, He is Pro-Semi-Auto Ban and doesn't get it.
I like his fire in the belly, but at times I get tired of it as well. Both Him and Chris Matthews use this Blue-Collar Good Cop Routine which I think may come from there backgrounds. Nothing against there backgrounds, and I don't mind the routine as much as when they invoke it and I know more about the subject matter than they do, then maybe an adjustment to there pay grade is in order.
To: Pikamax
O'Reilly who wants to install cameras in every class room, and slammed President Bush recently?
All he talks about is tabloid news--he hardly ever has anything meaningful or substantial to say.
I can get everything from the SUN, why watch O'Reilly?
