To those Christians who seriously believe "the Jews killed Christ":
1. The Crucifixion. Was it, or was it not, PREORDAINED?
2. Where would your religion be today if Jesus had died at the age of 75 of a heart attack?
3. Do you even have the slightest conception of what the crucifixion means? (If you answer yes, and you also believe that "the Jews killed Christ", then you're wrong, you don't have the slightest idea of what it means.)

Not exactly preordained - because humans have free will. The people involved in the Crucifixion didn't have to do it, they chose to do it.

This is just breathless in its scope of pure hatred. Here is someone who is lost spiritually.

It was truly all of us who crucified Jesus - BUT....
It was the Jews that God chose, as his chosen people, to actually carry out the sentence. Does that mean we should "blame the Jews" ? Of course not. But any denial that the Jews had anything to do with the Crucifixion is just plain misguided.

1. The Crucifixion. Was it, or was it not, PREORDAINED? The statements made on this thread that "the Jews killed Jesus" I think ignore the above question.
If Jesus was God in human flesh (and I think he was) then it is just silly to think that ANYONE could do ANYTHING to him without his consent. when Jesus was carrying that cross up to Golgotha he wasn't shocked or surprised. When he was hanging there and stated "Father forgive them...", he WAS in that very event - the crucifiction - fulfilling the very reason that he was on earth.
Take a look at the Last Supper, or his last night in Gethsemane - he knew what was coming.
Knowbody hilled Jesus, He gave himself willingly - for us - for the entire world.
IMHO, any suggestion that ANYONE killed jesus is ignorant of the above.
Regards,

To those Christians who seriously believe "the Jews killed Christ": Don't even go there. The number of people who would dwell on this sort of thing are vanishingly small in the United States, and the film is not about that, in spite of the protests of Hitchens and his ilk.
They are merely trying to divert attention from the real point of the film to a manufactured side issue.

See the movie. This is all very clear in the movie. Jesus knows what will happen and always knew it and Mary knew it. The Jews are instruments of God's will, as is Pontius Pilate, as are the Romans who do the actual scourging of Jesus.
