Do some Googling for Tugwell and "New States" Constitution. They've got stuff all ready to roll, all they need is to present it to Our Elected Representatives to sign sight unseen, just as they did with the Patriot Act.

I'm sure there are plenty of other "replacement Constitutions" sitting there ready to roll. I don't think a con-con would last very long, because I don't think they'd be going into it "cold". I think they'd go in knowing how they'd come out. Stuff like this tends to be highly orchestrated.

Y'know, most of us have a few guns and from time to time we talk semi-ominously about when "TSHTF." Few of us are serious unless we a) have a captive audience and b) have had too much to drink.

The time is coming though. With a few more encroachments like CFR, the AWB, Patriot I and II and a host of others still to rise from that cauldron of evil we call "Congress," the citizenry will get fed up and fight back. It won't be some grand battle with lines of occupation clearly marked and recognized. Instead, it'll be individuals or small groups of two or three assassinating police officers and stealing their weapons. The police will respond by beefing up their patrols with more manpower and heavier weapons which will require even more force from the insurgents. Eventually, the politicians who have caused all of it will either have to flee for their lives or lose them.
