Some people get ahead by working their a$$es off, learning as they go, calling in sick when they are ACTUALLY sick, steering clear of office politics, and by figuring out how to get what they want rather than whining about what they don't have. Don't need a degree for that.

My husband did that one time and a co-worker ended up taking him to the emergency room. After two hours of intense labor he gave birth to a not-so-healthy appendix.

When I was working I would go in sick on the off-chance that I might infect some of my more detestable co-workers.
