What they fail to notice/mention is that many Jews in the film are portrayed as sympathetic, objecting to the manner in which Jesus was arrested, objecting to the "trial," ("This is a travesty! A beastly travesy!").
If anything, it was anti-Roman--those guys GLEEFULLY scourged him, laughed, mocked, and beat him. A handful of Jews pressed for his death and stirred a mob-mentality.
I thought it was VERY fair, VERY balanced...

Maybe this is the real motive behind Jewish criticisms and the Passion movie. Maybe Jewish leaders are afraid that some fellow Jews may decide to accept Jesus as their long awaited Messiah. Maybe modern Jewish leaders fear mass revolt within their own congregations. Jesus presented this same challenge 2000 years ago and many feared Him. The leaders feared $$$ loses as He turned over the tables of their money changers as well as their interpretation of Law. Jesus was and is still is the "Rock of Offense" ....
