I believe that that recount was overshadowed by 9-11.

Every way the left tried, the count came out Bush won. Not one version of the recount had Gore winning. Not even in the mythical hypothetical press counting did Gore win.

Dems tried to rig the election by cherry picking what they thought would be the winning counties and recounting those and only those. That didn't work either according to press reports.
