Didn't the KKK approach Wallace one time to ask if he wanted them to endorse or oppose his campaign, whichever he thought would get him more votes?

I don't know. I DO know I can thank them for Michigan's old(now changed) gun laws and probably the registration law here.

One of their guys in a mob back in the 20's died when a black man (Dr. Hossian Sweet I think his name is) defended his brother and himself with a gun. This was in Detroit.

The gun laws got stricter soon after.
