Three Israelis hurt, one critically, in Gaza shooting attack

At least three Israelis were wounded, one critically, by Palestinian gunmen who opened fire near the Erez Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Israel, early Thursday morning.

The attack in the northern Strip occurred at around 7 A.M.

The gunmen were killed after a short exchange of fire lasting a few minutes.

Another Fatal Attack at the Erez Crossing Facility

(IsraelNN.com) Two armed terrorists opened fire early this morning in the northern Gaza Erez Crossing, the same location of a suicide bombing attack on 14 January. Four persons were murdered and 12 injured in that attack when a female bomber blew herself up in the security check area, where PA workers are inspected prior to entering the industrial park.

Soldiers responded immediately to this morning’s attack, entering into a brief firefight with the gunmen. Both gunmen were killed. One Israeli was killed in the attack and two others wounded.

According to the AP news agency, the al-Aqsa Brigade of Fatah is claiming responsibility for the attack.
