At least 2.4 million jobs have been created since the president took office
For 36 months that's around 65k a month. The labor pool increases by 150k a month. Now I don't have an MBA but it seems to me that 65k is 85k less jobs a month than what is needed to keep our heads above water.
But saying that 2.4M jobs have been created does make people feel warm and fuzzy.

People are called at home and asked if they have jobs, or if they are in the market for a job. In contrast to the Payroll Survey, the Household Survey shows that 2.4 million jobs have been created so far during Bush's time in office. So if you're "in the market" for a job, you're counted as employed. Ok.

Look if you have 95% of the workforce employed then you are fast approaching "full employment" as it has historically been defined.

Thank goodness Bush's reforms are getting results so quickly. Most folks forget that Clintoon just rode the wave set up by Bush Sr. -- how else could the economy boom in 93 when he had barely stepped into office. Then he did his best to ruin us and the effects were seen in 2001. Now Bush jr. has rebuilt our economy and we're seeing the START of the upswing. Let's NOT vote a Dim who will ruin all of this and create a bigger depression with Bombb depresssions everywhere.

Well, this is a hopeful article.
If these are the facts, there should be plenty of time to paint the correct picture by November.

The economy must be discussed as the dems love "it's the economy stupid" theme. The electorate is nervous(they always are about the economy).
It's been a rough time and things may not be terrific, but they are getting better..We must counteract some of their spin, and they do spin.

No.If you don't have a job but you are looking for a job,you are counted as unemployed.
If you don't have a job,but are not looking for a job,you are not counted as unemployed.

Citizen wrote that ,but I concur we must put out our positives to counteract their spin.Democrats love to portray a Republican economy's negatives,we must put out the positives, while showing concern for those who are underemployed or unemployed..

Many people laughed when the White House predicted 2.6 million jobs this year, as though it was an impossiblity.
Go see BLS.gov and there were many years when job creation surpassed the 3.0 million mark. 1977 and 1978 had almost 4 million new jobs in each year. 1983 and 1984 and 1987 and 1988 had well over 3.0 million with 83/84 being close to 4.0 million each.
1986 and 1995 were anemic by contrast with the economy creating "only" 2.0 million new jobs.
