The rest made me smile, but the expanding pink mist of DUh made me laugh out loud (although that "special feeling" came close). Somehow in my tired mind I heard a poof and saw it........ expanding, then slowly fading away. Must be time to send me to bed. 8-)

well, I happily stole that visual from the sci-fi works of David Drake, as a lightning bolt is in many ways similar to his "powergun" weapons.
