Some folks prefer to take their religion with soft lace and tea rather than reality.

You're right.

They like their Jesus wimpy. They imagine him a Board Member of Planned Parenthood, continually identifying with the girl whose fetus becomes a baby only at the momement she decides she wants it; a man who wouldn't drive an SUV.

They, as is their right to do, continually and maybe even eternally, miss the point!

Somehow, taking anything with 'soft lace' sounds rather kinky to me.

Lighten up. After all it is only a M-O-V-I-E. The written gospels themselves are not as graphic as this movie. Only a handful of Christians saw the actual crucifixion yet Christianity has gotten along quite well for the last 2000 years. St. Paul never saw the crucifixion and he never saw a movie of it. Obviously it is not necessary to witness the actual crucifixion or a reinactmeat of it in order to be considered worthy or strong.

Kind of a Disney type of approach. After all, wouldn't do to upset the flock don't you know.
