Lonely? Need attention? Are you really THIS clueless?

LOL - I have nothing more to add.

I sometimnes wake up and pray for lonliness. Not too often mind you.

Also wish for "clueless" once in awhile so I'll be left alone.

Now, IMHO, here is a movie that is a movie of movies.

'Cool Hand Luke'

And I'll be glad when sanity returns to the airwaves. Hmmmmm, have to wait till after the elections. Oh well.

A couple of people helped me lower my blood pressure.

Thanks.

And why haven't they removed this stupid thread?

But this has gone WAY over the top as if it is of some big deal. ITS A MOVIE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!

The movie itself is just a movie, but it has been used - even before it's release - as a vehicle for, ahem, passionate"discussion" and "dialogue" concerning a variety of events and ideas in history and society which touches people at the core of their being - and goes well beyond the actual 12 hour time frame of the contents of the movie.

Religious belief (or unbelief) affects people and the society in which they live and concerns how they should live and order society, i.e. politics.

The highly emotional responses that this movie is generating, both pro and con, indicates that, whatever else you think of Mel Gibson and his movie, he has created a true work of art which challenges people and the society they live in. We haven't seen art like this in a long time.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Turns out, this movie is about a particular Person. Many believe that Who this Person is and what He endured for the 12 hours in question has application today and, in fact, is the axis mundi upon which the ultimate destiny of our society and each individual in it - with all creation - depends.

It is ultimately this Person that all the controversy is about.

Jesus taught a way of life. Not history.

BTW, I do not know you, but it could be that you are living as Jesus taught, yet not even know why or how.

You might want to see the movie.

Yes, I know what a troll is and confess. But this has gone WAY over the top as if it is of some big deal. ITS A MOVIE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!

I go to VERY FEW movies myself. The last two I went to was We were Soldiers and Titanic.

I've seen MANY threads about it posted here on FR, ads and talk about it on the radio and TV, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

But I don't go and post a vanity on FR WHINING about it just because I don't go to movies. What's the point ?

Heck, I MIGHT EVEN GO SEE THIS ONE since folks are raving about it HERE on FR.

You might even think about doing the same. Just my 2 cents.

"I honestly believe ITS ABOUT NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!"

No: That is not at all what you believe.

If you have been a Freeper for 6 years, then you are too up on the world, and the national scene, than to make the statements you have in this post.

I think you also (unless of course, you were born yesterday) understand just what Christianity means to the millions of believer in this country, as well as to most Freepers. So come on now, and tell us what you are really trying to acomplish by posting such bait.

What's scary is that someone could make a similar movie about the life of Mohammed, show it all over the Muslim world, and the masses there would react exactly the same way.

True enough, but because of the constraints of their "religion" movies of Mohammed aren't allowed,
as far as I can tell.

Too bad.
hehe.
