"Hanoi John," now that it works for you, you beat your chest about your Vietnam service, but to me, you are a phony, opportunistic, hypocrite.Something tells me that John Kerry has a greater character deficit than Bill Clinton.

BULLS-EYE.
I thought this fellow's assessment of Kerry was pretty apt.
Every time I see him hit the stage and whip out his sloppy-assed salute I get a v-e-r-y sick and ANGRY feeling.

I find it ironic that Mr. Kerry's 120 days of service in Vietnam, which he believes makes him qualified to be President has, in reality, made him unfit to hold that office. I believe his actions after returning from that service are the result of the trauma he encountered there and his feelings of guilt about being there. His denunciation of the war after returning to the US and his votes against modernizing the military throughout his time in public office are nothing more than self-flagellation. His recent rant about having his patriotism challenged when it in fact was not, is akin to being shell shocked and/or paranoid. Even his wife Terry has said he has nightmares and flashbacks of Viet Nam. For these reasons, I believe he cannot be trusted to use the military properly in the defense of our country and should not be President.

What's this about derailing a Viet Nam relief bill? Are there details?

It is amazing that Americans have forgotten 9-1-1 and list terrorism lowest on polls regarding what is worrying people. Jobs and the economy worry people more. What? About 5.6% of people are unemployed, yet 48% in polls say they are worried about jobs? Kerry is getting a pass by the commie press and newspapers, etc. He served 4 months in Nam. Bush had two years of active duty BEFORE he was in the guard. Yet, you hear absolutely nothing about that on TV or in the press. I have quit watching TV news and reading newspapers. If I do not find something on the web to read, I don't know what is going on.
The road is long and dark and I am afraid America is heading off down it at a rapid pace.

"I believe his actions after returning from that service are the result of the trauma he encountered there and his feelings of guilt about being there" I think he's been successful in sellin' you a line of that fertilizer the author referred to.
This guy is a political opportunist ... always has been ... an ambitious little East Coast boy-elite ... just another JFK wannabe.
As just another VN Grunt, I'll tell you I don't see trauma in his eyes, just unbridled ambition.

Didn't mean to steal any 'Posting Thunder' around FR.
I just received it in email this AM from a friend, and after a quick FR search drew nothing, knew it had to be posted.
Maybe you can tell us where it was published. I've e'd my buddy for details on where he got it, but haven't heard back yet.

"The road is long and dark and I am afraid America is heading off down it at a rapid pace." Stick around reliable sites on the net like FR, load your guns with truth, and then stand up squarely in the liberal faces you encounter and hit 'em right between the eyes with it.
We've got to get loud and proud to save our country from these Red, Diaper, Doper Babies.
