"If the Jews (or anyone else) killed Jesus then that negates Jesus' statement that HE laid HIS life down and HE would take it up! BUT Salem, we know that HE laid HIS life down and that HE took it up! AND HE IS LORD!"
Exactly, and my own doctrinal position on this whole issue. Debating who "killed Jesus," whether Roman or Jew, is superficial and short-sighted, as they were just tools in the execution of a much wider plan for the salvation of the Gentile worldand inevitably, the House of Israel.
We are, and always have been, in their debt.

Who killed Jesus?
Well, the one who took him up on the mountain and offered Him all the kingdoms of the world (that would ever exist throughout time) thought that he had killed Jesus.
But actually, I did. It was my sins that nailed Jesus Christ to the Cross.
:~)
