True, amen.
You know, I'll give you some free wisdom, based on a lot of observation. No matter what you do, you won't really deal with this until you just deal with it honestly. You choose not to, that's all on you. But all the finger pointing, nastiness, blame-shifting... you'll still have that itch in your conscience, and it'll bug you again and again.
You basically have two choices: deal honestly, or try your best to go do something else, and hope you can forget it.
Up to you. You response will pretty much tell me your choice.
For my part, I hope this religious discrimination in the high court gets turned around soon. It's not right, and it's un-Constitutional.
