I just got a phone call through to Hatch's legislative assistant suggesting an amendment I termed, "The Responsibility in Government Act". The crux is that if a homeowner is killed or injured as a result of being unable to disengage a government mandated safety device that Soverign Domain is waived and the homeowner can hold the Federal Government responsible.
I doubt it'll go anywhere, but I really want to see these bastards held to the same standard they're shoving down our throats.

The worst thing is, we might have to go to the USSC and fight this as unconstitutional, and they hate gun topics.
So we're probably screwed. I have a feeling this thing, with AWB and gun lock stuff will fly through congress and Bush will sign it, ASAP.

I like your "Responsibility in Government Act". If an intruder kills me while my gun is in locked storage, then my family can sue the feds for millions.
