I humbly thank you, Miss Dansy.

The Hollywood libs simply hate this movie...the idea of it, the fact of it.

Yet, they nominate Tarantino's Kill Bill for an Oscar. Maybe they're complainng because only one man dies in Mel's film, rather many score being butchered by a glamorous babe in tights.

It's curious...and curiouser.

Their futile race to avoid any seeming of conscience is a show all itself.

Mel Gibson gets a huge Atta-boy for this one.

In the earlier movies about Jesus, beautiful, sanitized, Westernized as they were, the fact of His suffereing still moved me.

I remember my brother and sister and I crying our eyes out watching King of Kings in the theater when it was released 40 something years ago.

I hope to see The Passion next week...my loins are girded but my heart will be open, and I know I'll be torn down to the foundations of who I think I am.

Makes me tremble.

...

Regards and blessings to all our Hostesses and all my dear friends and neighbors here at the Finest coffee shop in Freeperville, on this Holy Day.

Well put.

I haven't seen the movie, but I expect I will think it's great.

Just from the photos, I'd add one thing. Historical research reveals that Christ was probably dark-skinned. Jews in that part of the world at that time were. This actor is not. Frankly, if anyone were going to criticize the movie as not PC, I would think that would be the legitimate grounds. Trivial grounds to be sure, in the sense that Christ is all people and is in all humans. But to criticize the movie because of the role of non-believing Jews -- well, that's silly, Christ himself was a Jew.

Now, I do understand, as the Anti-Defamation League notes, that in the past passion plays were cynically used by anti-Semites. But that doesn't mean this movie is anti-Semite or that this is Mel Gibson's motive! That's like saying that the Bible itself is anti-Semetic. Now, I do have a work colleague who is Jewish who does take this position. I find *that* troubling and intolerant.

You've got that right brothah ((((((jwfiv)))))). That is exactly one of the reasons we gave up on Hollyweird these past 3 and a half years.

Be prepared to be changed - for the better - when you see the movie.
