I'm terribly sorry. I wasn't aware that freepers considered themselves to be lying, stealing, cheating Neo-conservatives. I find no humor in that remark! I am trying to make a point that my daughter is suffering the rants of a ultra liberal so called teacher. If you are trying to start a flame war on my little thread, I warn you now, I will have the thread removed first!

This is her senior year (My daughter's)and she only has to make it to May now, I so wish I had been able to homeschool my girls all along! I would have had I been able. My sister and I are working on getting it all together so to speak, so that we can home school her babies!

It's not as hard as it made out to Homeschool.
We have been at it for two months. I have taken my six year old into 2nd grade work and my three year old is sounding out words and doing simple sums by Touch Math.
Get the book "Homeschool Your Child for Free" from Amazon. It was the best investment I ever made. I know that later in school it will be more work to teach at home but we are preparing now.
I heard a story on the radio yesterday that a boy brought the SI swimsuit issue to school. While I feel that this may have been inappropriate, the administration suspended this boy (middle school) and wanted to send him to a "special school". The world has gone nuts.
What your daughter is going through is crap.

Yes, I think I can handle helping to home school my nieces, but when my daughters were growing up I worked 12 hour shifts. This is the last year for my last daughter in public school she graduates this year, so we have to suffer the rest of the school year. I have printed out the Http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html site and at least the rest of the year shall be thought provoking if you get my meaning!

Update:
I have a meeting scheduled for next week at the school with the principle and this "teacher". The principle seemed to be very understanding (however he is the one that approved the showing of this "documentary"..).
Yet this principal knows I mean business. We have had "long talks" before! lol But that is a whole nother story! lol
I also contacted the NRA, and they are not happy campers! They are sending me a ton of info, including videos and cds.
They recommended that I ask that these videos been show as the counter to Mike Moore's "documentary".....if the "teacher" or principal refuses, then they are going to back me in a suit, as far as I can tell from the WV chapter of the NRA.

I watched the movie. I wanted to see just how bad it was.
Believe me, it is BAD! Michael Moore is a human turd!
The movie ending with Michael Moore interviewing Charlton Heston. Why Heston agreed I'll never understand. The interview started nicely but by the end Moore was pushing a dead Columbine kids picture in his face and asking if he felt any responsibility or some b.s.. The movie ended with Moore leaving the kid's photograph in front of Heston's home.

If a teacher is presenting material you find offensive and nonacademic, you can demand that the principal find another class or activity for your child to participate in. The principal will kick up a fuss, and tell you your child will be harmed because his/her peers saw the thing and they will tease your child.
Don't worry about it. By law, at least in California, the principal must let you make the decision and find another activity for your child. Don't worry about your child either, because in reality, the other kids will be jealous because your child will get to do something "interesting" while they are stuck in class watching a stupid movie.
Let other parents know so that they can opt out their children.
Demand a curriculum review with the teacher, and find out what else is planned for the school year. This movie probably isn't the worst this instructor is going to do, although its bad enough.Bump your concerns up to the head teacher and the principal. Don't let them tell you "you're the only one to complain". In almost every instance that is an outright lie, but they don't want you to know other parents are unhappy because you might get together enough people to actually change the curriculum for the better.

As soon as you start calling people commies you argument loses effectivness
The irony in that statement is telling. Most of the teachers that present this over the top kind of materials are communists. In one highschool in my district, 80% of the social studies department instructors were communists, one was actually a principle contributor to the local communist rag Alarm! Only in America, calling a communist a communist, makes you look bad instead of them.

The movie ending with Michael Moore interviewing Charlton Heston. Why Heston agreed I'll never understand. I highly recommend the site, http://www.hardllaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html
For Example note the following from the link above.
2. NRA and the Reaction To Tragedy. A major theme in Bowling is that NRA is callous toward slayings. In order to make this theme fit the facts, however, Bowling repeatedly distorts the evidence. A. Columbine Shooting/Denver NRA Meeting. Bowling portrays this with the following sequence: Weeping children outside Columbine; Cut to Charlton Heston holding a musket and proclaiming "I have only five words for you: 'from my cold, dead, hands'"; Cut to billboard advertising the meeting, while Moore intones "Just ten days after the Columbine killings, despite the pleas of a community in mourning, Charlton Heston came to Denver and held a large pro-gun rally for the National Rifle Association;" Cut to Heston (supposedly) continuing speech... "I have a message from the Mayor, Mr. Wellington Webb, the Mayor of Denver. He sent me this; it says 'don't come here. We don't want you here.' I say to the Mayor this is our country, as Americans we're free to travel wherever we want in our broad land. Don't come here? We're already here!" The portrayal is one of an arrogant protest in response to the deaths -- or, as one reviewer put it, "it seemed that Charlton Heston and others rushed to Littleton to hold rallies and demonstrations directly after the tragedy." The portrayal is in fact false.

thank you so much for all of that info! And you hit the nail on the head. The Principle made a statement to me, that this might cause hard feelings, I told him it bygod better not affect my daughter's grades of there would be hell to pay! And he knows I mean it!(from a previous confrontation) Nor shall she be singled out and reticuled! I let him know, I am not playing, and he knows I carry a copy of the Constitution! LOL

Thanks, that got it. I'm glad there are good folks out there with the time, energy and money to document this fraud of a 'documentary'. Good facts to use on our liberal friends.
