Did you know Kerry told the Pope to mind his own business about Gay Marriage?

Kerry tells off the Pope

• Presidential hopeful Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) responded to the Vatican’s call for Catholic elected officials to oppose gay marriage by telling Rome to stay out of American politics. “It’s important not to have the church instructing politicians,” Kerry, a Catholic, told the Boston Herald.

Not everyone agrees. “Too many Catholic politicians want to have it both ways,” said former U.S. Ambassdor to the Vatican Raymond Flynn. “They want the Catholic vote, but then they go ahead and ignore Catholic teaching.”

BTW .. Since Kerry and Edwards think it's up to the states to decide on gay marriage ... I wonder what they think about the Courts taking that right away and deciding what they think states rights should or shouldn't be?

Kerry says he doesn't support gay marriage, but he also doesn't support restrictions on it. He then can claim he is opposed to gay marriage while he holds open the backdoor (no pun intended) so that it can become legal.

Wow, that's Orwellian double-think at its very best. He says he does not support gay marriage, but he also doesn't think we should 'tamper with the Constitution,' leaving the opening for activist judges to declare it a civil right, much like in Roe Vs. Wade. He therefore gets to have his waffle, and eat it too.
