And the more recent murder of an American Green Beret in the Philippines and the wounding of another in which a diplomat at the Iraqi consulate had a hand. That took place just before the invasion of Iraq.

Add the Marine barracks in Beruit. The Embassy buildings in Africa. A soldier being dragged through the streets of a foreign capital. The first bombing of the WTC.

There are many acts such as this that have been committed against America and Americans for no apparent reason and always, we have turned the other cheek.

We are an idealistic society whose ideals and beliefs have worked and will continue to work as long as we have the Constitution. Others are jealous of this and will continually try to disparage and destroy us by harming our citizens with words or violence. We have been left with no alternative but to defend ourselves against the possibility of further attacks on our nation and our citizens.

You should add to your list the 2 million slaughtered after we left Vietnam. That was probably the mistake this guy was referring to.

Those pictures coming on the screen right after John Kerry uttering those words would devastate his campaign. It would make a helluva ad. If moveon can make ads, why can't we?
