(Hilo-KPUA) -- About 200 supporters waiting last night in downtown Hilo for Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich found their wait was in vain.
The Ohio congressman, who so far is the only 2004 Democratic presidential candidate to campaign in Hawaii, stayed longer than expected on Maui and was unable to make a scheduled 9 p.m. appearance at the Ka Huina Art Gallery on Kilauea Avenue. An audio hookup to Maui enabled those in attendance to hear the speech the former Cleveland mayor made on the Valley Isle.
Kucinich, who trails Democrat frontrunners John Kerry and John Edwards by a wide margin, told supporters on Oahu earlier in the day, This race is far from over. Granted, Im behind in the pack, but so was Seabiscuit.

Kucinich Disappoints Supporters in Hawaii
He looked taller on TV!
That's better. :)
Actually, I believe he's a gelding.
What did he do? Dis the Maui Wowie?
I bet there are enough supporters there to fill at least a good-sized hot tub.
No thank you!
I don't like Hippie Soup.
LOL! Perhaps an unintentional 'slap in the face' of ol' horseface Kerry?
