Interesting post. Yes, the pneumonic form of plague...that's supposedly 100% fatal from what I'm reading.

And it spreads via fleas. Remember the "dog disease" threats some time ago.

Yes. Dog disease really stuck in my mind. I was thinking canine/rabies, intially. What was tested on the prairedogs? Was that the plague?
