Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that You would have us calm in the midst of the storm ... that You would have us in prayer before the Throne of Grace when our hearts are troubled, that we would not be anxious. Such is that time, O God, for the enemy has touched our ally and devastated the Spanish people. Be of comfort as they cry out and mourn their dead. Heighten the abilities of our intelligence services ... let nothing escape their notice. Let any nation or any person in peril be forewarned. Hold back any plan of attack, but reveal those who plan. Set them aside, lest others come to harm. Pierce the hearts of those who give aid and comfort to the enemy with their idle words, that we become steadfastly united in the defeat of the enemy. Place a hedge around those who protect us, that they may continue in their service to their countrymen. Stir up many nations to unite with us, and with the Spanish people, for we seek the destruction of terrorism, that good and decent peoples might live.
