However, either circumstance will require proof positive and either circumstance probably will have repercussions.

I am assuming he is alive, because up to this point there has been no indication of his being deceased. The "Osama deceased" scenario has been done before. It occured immediately following the Battle of Tora Bora. I do not think the US military wants to re-visit that scenario once again, especially after all the hints that have been dropped lately. That's my personal assessment.

Personally, either way would be just dandy as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there will be repercussions. Hanging tight and waiting (patiently?) here for the news...
