>I will be overjoyed, but also a little wary. The official announcement of OBL's capture could cause the jihadis to go off of the deep end. If we have withheld the news of his capture for the last month, it is probably because we wanted to prepare our defenses for the announcement. It's not too hard to believe that there are cells with suicide missions if OBL is captured or killed.<
We have to keep in mind that the capture of bin Laden is not the end to our war on terrorism. He's the biggest fish and a big blow to Al Qaida, but I'm sure AQ may have anticipated his capture and planned on whom will take OBL's place. I would have preferred bin Laden and his doctor be captured and killed unbeknown to us all as to when and how, but known for certain that he had been killed.

We have to keep in mind that the capture of bin Laden is not the end to our war on terrorism. Not at all. I'm pretty convinced that OBL isn't much more than a figurehead for AQ anyway. Still, the jihadis are going to go insane if we captured OBL. I hope we got him alive, it would be that much more humiliating to AQ.
