I'm beginning to believe that the DOD 'has' to deny the reports Could be. I'm still checking around on other sites. Got CNN on, too. They were the first network to break with SoDammed's capture. They aren't saying anything at all about this. They're just doing a piece right now about the hunt for OBL.
I'll give it a few more minutes before I have to give up. :-)

Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri on Saturday declined to confirm reports of Osama bin Laden's arrest.
"I cannot confirm it. They (the troops) made an effort (to capture him) but (I) cannot confirm it," Kasuri said at a joint press conference with visiting French Foreign Minister Dominique Devilpan here, when asked about the reports of bin Laden's capture."
Looks like a big attempt was made. Capture not confirmed, not denied. Looks like we'll be in the air for a while yet.
