Our friend should be careful.. In the winter there's less humidity. This factor, coupled with the shag carpeting factor, can lead to embarrassing and painful static IP.

I have a nephew who P'd into an electrical outlet. His mother found the puddle, the white face, and the round eyes. I think I would call that a kind of dynamic IP.
(And yes, he was a very young boy. ;-)
