Actually, Mary was "assumed" into heaven, meaning it was not by her own power. Only Jesus "ascended" into Heaven, which is what we say every Sunday during the Creed. We do know the difference and we've never said otherwise.

Excuse me you are correct...she supposedly "Ascended" under God's power.. body and soul into Heaven. I believe Catholics have only been believing this as infallible dogma since 1950's.
