Some years ago a trailer house belonging to one of the local police caught fire. The fire department just let it burn after noticing that the trailer had a fairly large number of loaded firearms in side. Bullets were flying all around.
Seems safer to store guns unloaded, but I'm not a policeman so I can't judge.

The only return on that comment is that in the case of large business (like the IRS) plans must be made years in advance. The land in question was not available until the local gov't in KC managed to remove the landowner. That happened yesterday.
They may still move to the old post office bldg. But don't be surprised to see some changes now that the land will be available.
