the Ninth circuit has had a few good ruling in the past couple weeks... what happened? are they feeling gracious? did one of them run over a small child? did a stack of NAMBLA magazines fall over and bury one of the leftie judges?

the Ninth circuit has had a few good ruling in the past couple weeks

They read that 90% of thier decisions get overturned on review, and figured they would play the odds. They don't understand it is what they decide that causes the overturning, they figure it is a Vast Scalia Conspiracy.

I doubt the Supreme Court is going to rock the boat on prayer at the Presidential swearing in ceremony considering the way they open each court session with the following

"The Honorable, the Chief Justice and the Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States. Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! All persons having business before the Honorable, the Supreme Court of the United States, are admonished to draw near and give their attention, for the Court is now sitting. God Save the United States and this Honorable Court!"

When the Court is in session, these words are announced by the Court's Marshal as the Justices file into the Chamber, all dressed in traditional black robes.
