Actually, Great Britain scores higher on economic freedom than does the US according to a recent report. I think the US ranked 9th on that list.

Personally, I'd love to see that report and find out who came out with it. I find it extremely hard to believe that any country that slaps a tax of roughly four dollars on a gallon of gasoline is more economically free than the United States. I'm really being kind, I actually find it impossible to believe. That isn't even remotely close to capitalism, it's hard core socialism.
