For obvious reasons, I refrained from posting in the aftermath of FL 2000, although now that feelings aren't so raw ..... or are they?

Anyway, NOW do you believe me that Election 2000 was going to be a dead heat?

Not for me. I know some Dems who are still seething, though.

I'm looking for another dead heat this time; in fact, if the Red states get redder (as dales's analysis indicates so far) and the Blue states say the same (again, looks like it could be that way) and a couple of Purple states go from Red to Blue (say, WV, as discussed above and NV because of Yucca Mtn), we could have the exact reverse of last time--Bush wins the popular vote, loses the EC.

Wouldn't that beat all?
