Tariffs are a 19th century solution to a 21st century problem. Hate to tell you but the US already has numerous tariffs on various products, including cars, trucks, produce etc. Tariffs certainly wont stop the job losses associated with productivity gains and they wont stop the loss of white collar jobs. Not to mention retaliatory tariffs will cost jobs at Boeing, CAT, Monsanto etc.
